For the third time, in connection with the Jewish High Holidays, FOBC will coordinate with members of local synagogues to hold a “Reverse Taschlich” cleanup event at the Barge Canal. Instead of the traditional Taschlich ritual of casting bread on water to symbolize cleansing oneself of regrets and transgressions, Reverse Taschlich proposes cleaning up a local waterway as a way of giving back to the Earth. Open to all. Wear long pants and sturdy shoes.
